Wild Explorers Forest School
Ready for
school. Still
allowed to
be little.

Owls, our pre-school room, focuses on independence, communication, friendships, confidence and practical skills, not rushing childhood.

Book a Show-Around

Big school skills, learned in little ways ♡
School readiness without turning nursery into school.

Independence and social confidence sit at the centre of how we prepare children in Owls for their next stage.

That includes toileting, hygiene, lunchtime etiquette, listening, speaking in groups, friendships, core strength, fine motor skills and having the confidence to manage everyday routines.

Independence Managing belongings, clothing, toileting and everyday routines with increasing confidence.
Communication Listening, speaking in groups, expressing needs and enjoying conversations with adults and other children.
Physical skills Outdoor movement develops core strength while hands-on play supports fine-motor control.
Social confidence Friendships, turn-taking, problem-solving and feeling comfortable as part of a group.

When it is time to move on.

The setting prepares a transition report before children move to school, helping the next setting understand the child and the development that has taken place.
